Instructions: How to heat and chill your eye pillow
Our Liberty London print eye pillows can be used just as they are, heated or chilled. Follow our step-by-step guide below for warming and cooling your pillow effectively:
Cold therapy
This method is ideal for relieving tension, migraines, and also to revive those tired eyes in the morning!
- Remove the outer cover and place pillow in a sealable bag
- Chill in freezer for 30 minutes, or leave overnight
- Put the outer cover back on
- Place over your eyes for 10 minutes, and allow the cold therapy to revive the eyes and relieve any tension
Hot therapy
This method is perfect to use during yoga, to relieve eye strain, or just before bed for a deeper relaxation and a more restful night's sleep. The pillow can also be used on the back of the neck to help ease any tension.
- Remove the outer cover and heat in the microwave for 30-40 seconds at 800-1000w
- After heating, it should be warm to touch, not hot
- Put the outer cover back on
- Place over your eyes for 10 minutes, and allow the gentle pressure and calming aromas of lavender and chamomile to soothe and relax
Care instructions
- The outer cover can be machine washed at 30 degrees, or hand washed, then air dried and ironed. Do not wash the filled inner pillow
- The pillow will provide a long lasting scent, however, if it does start to fade simply plump your pillow up to help reactivate the lavender and chamomile. You can also add a few drops of your favourite essential oils directly to the surface of the pillow, not to the outer cover
- Storing your pillow in a dry place in a sealed plastic bag or container when not in use will also help to keep your pillow fresh and the aroma strong
